Trauma-Informed Practical Skills Session for U of C medical students

Participants attended a presentation and worked with Standardized Patients to practice taking a trauma-informed patient history and creating a trauma-informed environment for performing a physical exam.

MSAIV stands in solidarity with the Calgary Black Medical Students Association, and the leadership of the Cumming School of Medicine Undergraduate Medical Education, addressing ongoing racism, discrimination, and violence against people of colour. We ask our fellow students to gain increasing awareness of racial injustice with us, and support the call to action of the Black Medical Students Association.
